Adventure on the big screen

PACK YOUR BACKPACK, lace up those boots and grab some popcorn, the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour (BMFFWT) is almost here. With screenings scheduled in more than 35 countries around the world, the tour arrives on our shores in April, and will be here until the end of June.

Now in its 36th year, the BMFFWT is a celebrated platform for experienced and up-and-coming adventure filmmakers, with awards given to the best film on mountain sport, mountain environment, mountain culture, exploration and adventure, and a people's choice award, to name but a few.

This season Australian audiences can expect a line-up that will take them to the heart of the African Congo, through deep powder and on an emotional rollercoaster with some inspiring snow lovers, and to the heights of Mt Everest on a world-record-breaking summit to sea expedition with some unassuming heroes.
